Antique National Cash Register 45 Autograph Typencr Up for bidantique national cash register #45 autograph type. Informationwonderful estate find this loevly old register was found stored in a basement full of collectibles. This is a very rare adn hard to find early ncr cash register.
It is very difficult to find information no this type. The closest type i could find was called a model 200 autograph register. The front plate with model and serial number reads #45 1888001. It features a very clean polished oak case with brass or bronze ornamentation. The top brass gallery sign is polished adn has a fancy brass built in ink well.
The brass register section is 7 1/4 x a 71/4 with 5 push buttons, lever, glass panel and writing area for hand writing sales inventory on a ruled 5 wide register roll. The hinged oak top lifts up to an inner compartment with stroage and mechanical works. Underneath si a solid oak cash drawer. hTe front has two key holes.
There is a key in the drawer which turns but does not lock the drawer. However the lever on the inside pops open the springloaded drawer section. The cabinet dimensions are 8 1/2 tall x 19 1/2 long x 17 3/4 wide plus the height of the brass sign rail. Sorry no international buyers. All new york state residents pay 8.75% sales tax. Conditionthe condition of the register is excellent. However i believe at sometime in the past this register must have been restored because it is just to clean and polished for its age. I am not sure if it is fully functional but the fiev buttons are all active. The lever to the right of the buttons moves partially but seems to be locked up or needs adjustment, overall looks like a great collectors piece or great for the right museum.
